Protected species surveys

We undertake a range of surveys for protected species, and are licensed to survey for Barn owl, Great Crested Newt (GCN), Bats Preliminary Roost Assessment / Ground Level Tree Assessment (GLTA), and experienced in Badger, Water Vole, Otter, Dormouse, Reptile, and marine mammal surveys. We can provide mitigation licence applications and licensed field staff to carry out mitigation work, such as herptile translocations, licensed demolition / roof strips, vegetaion clearance, or Ecological Clerk of Works (ECoW).

Ecology Support Services

We provide a range of ecology support services, from initial consultation, to baseline surveys (UKHab, Phase 1) to inform Preliminary Ecological Appraisal, Preliminary Roost Assessment, and Biodiversity Net Gain Assessment (BNG), as well as Ecological Impact Assessment (EcIA) and Ecological Design Strategies (EDS), mitigation strategies, EPS licence applications, management plans, Environmental Statements (ES), Habitats Regulations Assessments (HRA), and monitoring.

Botanical and Ornithological surveys

We specialise in higher level surveys for plants and birds. We bring many years of expertise, with FISC (Field Identification Skills Certificate) accredited surveyors for botanical survey work. We will plan a survey programme to meet your requirements, from species-specific surveys, raptor and barn owl surveys, acoutsitc monitoring, translocation projects such as chalk grassland or orchid species, wintering bird, passage migrant or breeding bird surveys, BBS/CBC, nocturnal surveys, and NVC/quadrat surveys.
